Gloria Pakuwon City School-Description

Gloria Pakuwon City school is a big and colorful building. It is a four storey building. It has many facilities. It has many classrooms. In every classroom there are: LCD, air conditioner, tables and chairs which are in good condition. It also has a big gym, a big basketball court, a big canteen, a big library, a small book store, a health center, a big laboratory and counseling room. In every place there is a CCTV. The students usually use the gym or the basketball court for the physical education subject. The canteen is big and comfortable. The students usually eat in the canteen during the break.

Gloria Pakuwon City school has many students and teachers. The students must wear uniforms to school. The boy must wear a white shirt, a dark blue shorts, a belt, and black shoes. The girl must wear a white blouse, a dark blue skirts, a belt, and black shoes. At school every student has a locker to keep the bag and the books.

Every year Gloria Pakuwon City school holds many kinds of competitions. They are: sport competition, traditional clothes competition, and profession clothes competition. The students always participate in these competitions. Smart students usually join in Mathematics or Physics competitions. They also join such competitions in another school.

How to make Hot Dog

      Hot dog is easy to make by us. We only need: bun, butter, sausages, lettuce. This is the process to make hot dog:

1.      1.Spread the bun with the butter.

2.      2.Fry the bun on the frying pan.

3.      3.Fry the sausages on the frying pan.

4.       4.Take the bun and put it on the plate.

5.       5.Put the lettuce on the bun.

6.       6.Take the sausages and put on the lettuce.

7.       7.Give the mayonnaise or sauce ( if you want ).

    After make the hot dog we can put french fries to make that hot dog more delicious. Enjoy the hot dog. 

Nine B

My name is Cindy. Now I am in grade 9. I am in 9b class of Gloria Junior High School. My class advisor is Ms. Ayi. She is beautiful and fat, but she is vey funny. 9b class has many students, there are: Calvin Virtue, Candys Miracel Chandra, Chelsy Aprilia, Cindy Fransisca Subagijo(me), Cliff Oliver Winoto, Darwin Pratama, E. Davin Mulyadi, Enrica Zerline, Evelyn Vanessa S, Faustine Bernice Gunawan, Fenny Sekar Sari, Ferry Bunjaya, Gilbert Rahardian Sidarta, Hartono Rezky Putra, Imanuel Sumargo, Kenny, Megawati Limantara, Michael Adi, Novia Angeline, Timothy Tamara, Yeremia Wijaya, Yosua Vida J, and the last is Leander Tanuwijaya. In 9b class we study and play together. 9b class is more exciting than another class, but 9b class is noisy and can not be controled when speaking. Many teachers do not like 9b class because very noisy. Have many teacher angry to 9b class there are: Ms. Ayi(our class advisor), Mr. Robin Physics teacher, Ms. Maya English teacher, Ms. Rina Javanese teacher, and another teachers. Many teachers said:”I am very lazy to teach your class because you are very noisy and can not control yourselves”. I realize that my class is very noisy, because all of us can not control ourselves. My class is very often given punishment by the teachers. Actually my class can be a quiet class, if we change our attitude and start to control ourselves and become a better class than before. 

9b class has many talented students like: Yosua, Yeremia, and Ferry who can play guitar very well. Yosua is very talented student in music. He can play guitar and piano, and he is vey quiet in class. Davin is very smart but he is so arrogant and talkative. We always called Davin “Bakso”, because he likes bakso and if we call Davin he doesn’t turn around but if we call him bakso he directly turns around. Cliff is smart too like Davin, Cliff is a very funny person because he is fat. Candys is a very smart girl. She is tall, thin, and can play piano very well. Enrica is also a very beautiful girl and she can play piano too. Fenny is a short girl. She has a black long hair. She is creative, and she is very smart in English subject. Faustine is a tall girl who likes basketball and she is very smart in drawing things. Virtue is a short boy. He is smart in Javanese subject. He is a talkative boy, and he likes to play basketball. Hartono is a boy who likes basketball and he is quite black. Gilbert is also a boy who likes basketball likes Hartono. Ferry is a boy who likes basketball too and he has very white skin. His skin is whiter than a girl.  Timothy is very smart in Computer subject. Novia is a short and creative girl. Many students and teachers called her “Parjo”. Chelsy is the funniest girl in class and she is very smart too. Mega is a tall girl who likes art subject and we always call her “Bu Pres” because her name is like President Megawati. Kenny is the funniest boy he have many joke in his brain. Darwin is funny too but sometimes his joke is not funny but jayus. Imanuel is very easily to get angry and many students do not like his attitude, but he is very good in playing drum. Leander is a boy from Bali and he is a very quiet student in class.  Michael is a boy who can play drama very well, he has innocent face. Evelyn is a very creative girl. And I am a girl who likes Mandarin Subject. Our class advisor is also a very creative woman and she has a good voice. 

In 9b class Candys is my a classmates but in grade 7 and 8 we were not classmates. In 9b class if we have free time some of us like to play “Truth or Dare”(TOD). If one of we lose he or she must chose truth or dare. If he or she answers truth he or she must answer questions from us. If he or she answers dare he or she must do the punishment from us like dancing, singing, etc. 9b class hopefully can be a better and the best class in 9 grade, because grade 9  is supposed to be the example for 7 and 8 grade. So if the students in grade 9 cheat during exam, 7 and 8 grades will do it. Because they think 9 grade is the example for them. I want 9b to be a good example and quieter than before.  9b class is a very exciting class and it is interesting to be in this class . I love this class so much :D.

Republic Eight Xi Gloria Two

When I was in grade 8, I was jn 8c class. 8c class had 18  good students 7 girls and 11 boys. There were Cindy Fransisca Subagijo(me), Cyrilla Ongkowijoyo, Daniel, Daniel Dylan Septianto, David Benedict, Elena Elizabeth Cendra, Enrica Zerline, Evelyn Vannessa S, Fanny Patricia, Gillbert Rahardian Sidarta, Hans, Hendrikus Zendy Mauren Widjaya, Jovan Adriel, Kevin Hadipranata, Leander Tanuwijaya, Novi Angelica, Theodorus Rudi Chandra, and the last is Yoke Maldiputra. Our class advisor is Robin Yulio. He is a physics teacher. On the first day our class advisor wanted to make a name for our class. And we agreed. After discussing it for a while we all agreed that. Our class name is Rexi Glow from “Republic Eight Xi Gloria Two”.  

On the first day of 8c class all students were so quiet including Hendrikus, because when Hendrikus was in 7 grade he was so noisy. All the teachers felt that our class was so silent among the 3 other classes. Several months later our class started to get noisy, but we could control it.  In the one of mid semester our friends had to  resign from school because he is had a problem. We missed him very much. His name is Jovan Adriel. He is very talented, he can play flute. Without Jovan our class was different. There was something missing in the class. We were so sad, but we should not continue to dissolve in grief and we must be happy again. In 8c class we also had Daniel we always called him “ Engkong” because he was like a grandfather but he is so clever in all subject. Not only Daniel we also had Cyrilla, she is clever too in all subject and she was always called “Mak Ven”. In our class we had Theodorus too, he was always called “Theo” and in class he was always with Yoke and Daniel. They were like a husband and wife. We also had Gillbert and Hendrikus, they are very smart in playing basketball. Hendrikus is also very good in playing guitar. And we had Daniel Dylan, he was always called Dylan. He is so very smart to play football. And we also had 3 girls in 8c class they are very pretty and they are Elena, Enrica and Novi. Elena is also smart in all subjects she remembers things quickly and Enrica is also smart in English. And we also had Kevin he was the son of the board of trustees of Gloria School and he is clever too. We also had Fanny she is very creative. We also had Evelyn she has a good voice. We also had Yoke he is very smart play piano. Our class advisor also very smart to play guitar and he is so funny. He can make his students laugh. And now he is promoted to become vice principal of Gloria Junior High School. When he taught physics, the students can easily understand what teaches, many students got good marks in physics test..

The first time I was in 8c is I felt uninterested, but after 1 month I enjoyed my self being in this class. We rarely were scolded by teachers. On Independence Day our school usually holds a competition which involves all students in all classes. There are: Gobak Sodor, move the rubber with straw, and many more. When I was in 8c my class did not win any competitions. Although 8c class did not win in the competition at that time we did not feel inferior, but we always supported each other. Because if we had a weakness, that weakness will be covered  by our good things and we should always have a lot of sprit. At the end of the semester the school make a study tour only for grade 8. We went to Jatim Park 1 and apple cider-making factory in Malang. We left school at 8 o’clock. We went to Malang by bus. First we went to apple cider-making factory. There we were taught about the making of apple cider, how to plant apple and strawberry plant, and many more. After that we went to Jatim Park 1 to seek answers to some questions given by the teachers. After finding the answers we went to play there. At 4 o’clock we went home. At the night on the bus all of us played arm wrestling. We played that game until we arrived to school. We arrived at 8 o’clock. After that we went home to eat dinner and slept, because the next day we have a holiday. And the semester we very sad because we cann’t together again.  I felt 8c is the best class than another 8 class. I love my homeroom teacher :D

The Haunted Mountain-Narative

One upon a time, there was a man who liked hiking. He always went hiking to the mountain with his friends. He wasn’t scared of anything. The man’s name is Frank. He liked nature and that is why he liked hiking. He always brought maps, compass, food, drink, etc when he went hiking. He also brought his camera because he liked photography .

Frank and his friends always went together. They usually started hiking at 5 o’clock in the morning. They had liked a lot of mountains. One weekend they went hiking on a haunted mountain. No one dared to hike this mountain. Frank and his friends were very happy because they believed they were the first people who  dared hiking the mountain and could come home safely.

Before hiking the haunted mountain frank and his friends prepared all the needed far hiking.  The did not forget to bring his camera. It took three days for them to reach the top of the mountain.

On the first day they walked and walked and walked. In the afternoon, they stopped for lunch. They tried to find a log and some rocks to make fire. After they had lunch they continued hiking. Suddenly  they found a lake and they saw the water was very cleaned and fresh. They would like to drink it, because the ran out of water was empty. After they drank they saw ad old house. And they agreed to stay the night there,  because they were very tired. At night they made dinner in that old house and ate together. After they dad dinner they slept t o get some energy for the next morning.

On the second day they continued hiking. On their way  to the top of the mountain they found a doll.  And Frank took that doll to give to his sister. That doll was very cute. He tired to clean that doll carefully. After that, he put the doll into his bag. He was very happy, because he could give his sister a new doll. And then, they continued hiking  again. At night they slept at the forest and made a fire to warm them.

On the third day in the morning Frank woke up. After that he tried to find a lake to get a drink and took a bath. He went to that lake alone, because his friends were still asleep. Finally he found a lake and the water was very fresh. It was fresher than the previous lake. When he washed his face, he saw a man at his back, but when he turned around he did not see anyone at his back. And he continued to wash his face, but he saw that man again. He started to feel scared, but he didn’t tell his friends about what had happened, because he was ashamed. After his friends woke up they also took a bath and then they directly continued hiking, because they wanted to reach to the top as soon as possible and went back home to work. They walked very quickly. On the way they stopped and took a picture together. When they took a picture, one of Frank’s friends got lost. And they decided to find him. They spreaded out to find their friend. If any one of them found their friend, he must come back to that place. They promised to find their friend in two hours. They decided themselves into 4 groups. Frank and one his friends were in group one and others were in the other groups. After two hours, Frank and his friend come back to that place, but they did not see the other friends. They decided to wait for them. But until the night they didn’t  come back. Frank and his friends thought that their lost friends had been eaten by a wild animal. Suddenly there was a man who asked Frank and his friend to stay at his home. Frank and his friend did not have any choice and they agreed to stay at the man’s home. That man was the man Frank saw at lake. After they arrived home the man gave them something to eat, but that man put some poison into Frank’s friend’s food. And Frank’s friend died. Frank was very scared and he asked why he wanted Frank. The man said because Frank had taken his doll at his mountain. Frank said sorry, but that man could not forgive him. And then the man scared Frank until Frank could not come back to his home. And Frank lived at that mountain forever.

Routines of My Family

My family consists of father, mother, and 3 children. I was the first child, I have a younger sister and younger brother. My sister's name is Victoria E.S. Now she attends primary school grade 6 at Gloria Pacar Elementary School. My younger brother is Yohanes N.S. He also attends Gloria Pacar Elementary School grade 5. Victoria have a hobbies. She likes to draw clothes, read a comics or novel. While Yohanes's hobbies are playing football, playing badminton, watch a television especially cartoon and cycling. Yohanes have a good friends named Harmanata, Richard, Kenneth, and Valerie. Victoria also have a good friends named Jocelyn, Cindy, and Vania. As brothers and sister, sometimes we are also not free from disputes ranging from the trivial to the big problem. But as brothers and sister, we also often help each other. What ever the problems faced by one of us, others always tried to help, so the problem is quickly resolved. We have various experience that we spent together until now. 

Every day, our family is busy with our respective routines. My father and my mother work, while the 3 of us go to school and tutoring. And to assist us in learning difficulties at school, the 3 of us follow private lessons. There are different kinds of lessons that we follow, they are: tutoring lessons, tutoring English, Mandarin language lessons, Computer lesson, dancing lessons, etc. By following a variety of tutoring we understand the material taught in school better. Our family are busy from Monday to Saturday. On Sunday our family always go to church to give thanks for all the good fortunes that God has given to our family. Because Sunday is also the day for us as a family to live our routine for a moment and give us time just to pray to the Lord. 

Sometimes we also feel bored with the routine of school and the lessons which we take. So if there are school holidays, we spend our school holidays by having fun activities. The various activities we do are playing, go to mall together, watch a film at cinema, take a picture, bbm, etc. Sometimes we also play computer, such as Facebook, Twitter, browsing many picture or just download song from the internet. Or sometimes we go along with the family, like going to Jakarta, Bogor, Bali, Bandung, Magelang, Singapore, and many more. By going together we have closer relationship. And we are very happy if we could spend the holiday together with our family. 

To me, family is very important along with other family members I can share my joy and sorrow that I experienced. The events are fun and sometimes annoying. The more we often get together than the relationship between us become very close. My family is very happy family, although every day we are busy with our own affairs, but we still do not forget to spend time together, although not for too long.

So if I was asked to reveal the words about my family, then all I can say is I am very happy to have family like mine now and for me everything that I can do up to now is through the support of my family. So believe it or not family are our closest friends who will always be beside use in any kinds of situation joyfull or sad. And the family is not going to leave us the moment we are having difficultly, because family will help us to find away out of difficulties we are facing.

So to all my friends, you all should feel proud of your family. If you have a dispute with one of your family member, finish the dispute quickly so that your relationship with your other family members are not tense. And if you have a problem, do not feel ashame to ask for assistance to other members of your family as well. Because if you help each other than any kinds of problems at hand will soon be resolved immediately. And of course your family will be happy and relationship between your family members closer.

Otzi The Iceman

On 19 September 1991, German climbers name Erika Simon and her husband Helmut, made an extraordinary discovery. They had found the head and shoulders of a human body, while walking along the Similaun Glacier. Dr Henn took one look and realized the body was an ancient preserved person. Professor Spindier examined, the axe and the body, and confirmed that the "Iceman" was at least 4000 years old. Austrian researches gave his name Otzi. His climbing it includeda cooper axe, rope, a leather pouch, an unstrong bow and arrows. His backpack contained food supplies. Otzi trips was carefully planned. Otzi worn teeth show he ate a lot of coarse grain. People live by huntinng and simple farming. Otzi was chieftain.

Hurricane Strikes

Hurricane Irene hit Southeastern Florida on Friday night and it caused damage and destruction everywhere. Now, so many people had no electricity because of that hurricane. And the hurricane caused server flooding. Some of the worst flooding was in Miami. Thousands of crops were damage of destroyed to South Florida. Irene was the worst strom of hurricane seoson of this area. 

WHY DO SOME ANIMALS DIE OUT ?

In the past 200 years, humans have caused the extinction process speed up. The reasons are: First, people destroy animals homes as they spread over the land. Second, humans overhunt the animals. Third, humans pollute the air, water, and soil that the animals need. Finally humans bring new species of animals into certain enviorments, the animals already live there, become threatended and face extinction.

First time My Brother Lost

Last holiday my family and I went to Singapore. We went by plane.  At 4 o’clock we woke up and take  a bath.  At  5 o’clock we went to Juanda airport and arrived at 6 o’clock. At the airport we checked in very quickly because the plane was waiting for  us. Finally we got into. It took two hours to go to Singapore by plane. At 8 o’clock the plane landed at Changi airport.  After the plane landed I went to the toilet. At the toilet I met my friend Fenny. After that we went to the hotel by taxi. We stayed at Park Royal Hotel. At the hotel we checked in and put the travel bags into the room.  After we checked in we went to Orchad to change the money because my parents brought the rupiah not dollar. And at the Orchard my sister, my brother and I bought some shirt and shorts. After that we were hungry and went to the mall to eat.  At the mall my mother bought some cosmetics and shirt. We were at the mall until evening.  After shopping we went to Vivo City. At the Vivo City we went to Sentosa Island to see Song of the Sea by train. After that we went back to the hotel and took a rest. On the second day we got up at 8 o’clock because we were very tired. After waking up we had breakfast. At 9 o’clock we finished our  breakfast. After that we went to Universal Studio. We couldn’t  go into Universal Studio because the tickets were  sold out. We were very sad because we couldn’t  go in. Finally we went to Sentosa Island again. At Sentosa we went around, but we were still disappointed about what happended at Universal Studio. At there  we bought chocolate, took  a picture, and etc. We went to Sentosa Island until evening and we had lunch at the Sentosa too. At night we had dinner at mall. After that we went back to the hotel and took a rest. On the third day we must  get up early because we wanted to check up at the Gleneagle Hospital. I was very tired because I walked everyday. After we  checked up I went back to the hotel. And I went to Jurong Park by MRT.  It took one and a half hour to get there and we arrived at Mall before  I went to Jurong Park we had lunch first and went shopping. After that I went to Jurong Park by bus. I saw many birds like parrots, flamingoes, eagles, penguinds and other.  At Jurong Park we took a picture. And watched a bird show. First we watched a parrots show and then second  we watched eagle show. And I was many penguins swimming. We went to Jurong Park until evening. And we went mall again by bus. At mall my sister and I saw nice shoes and I wanted them.  And my mother bought the shoes for me  and my sister. Suddenly my brother was lost and it was  the first  time he was lost. We were confused to find my brother. 10 minutes passed. Suddenly my brother come to me  and he cried, because he was very scared. We got back to the hotel  because  we were  very tired. I went back to my room and took a rest and take a bath. At 8 o’clock we went out to find some food and I ate at mall. After I eating we went around the mall for shopping again.  My father  wanted  to buy some ties and shirts. After shopping we went back to the hotel and took a rest. The fourth day we packed  because at 12 o’clock we must checked out. After breakfast  we checked out  and went to my father’s friend’s apartement. After that we went to Bugis to bought some souvenirs. After we buying some souvenirs  we went  to  Takashimaya to  had lunch and buy some medicine for my aunt. Finally we went back to the apartement  to packed  again and take a bath. At 6 o’clock  we went to Changi airport. At Changi I bought many kinds of chocolate and candy. They are very yummy. After that we went to the waiting room and we went back to Surabaya. The holiday is over but this holiday I felt very happy although it was tiring.
